I'm pretty new to Postfix and I have no previous smtp experience. I'm trying
to set this up on my redhat box, I have imap/pop installed also. I have run
into a little problem with relay access, I put the following errors from my
maillog file:

I am trying to email from Pine when I get this error. I have under the
configuration my smtp server set as <mail.mydomain.com> which is a CNAME to
my MX record. Now if I leave the smtp field blank in the config the email
goes thru fine:

Can anyone make anything of this?? My knowledge of smtp is limited just yet
so I apologize for any info I may have left out. Thanks for any help.
