Subject: [Q] Rejecting mail from a partcular domain...

Hi,

My Linux box is buckling under the load of a particular domain (say,
foo.com) bouncing emails to postmastermy.domain.org This started when
someone in the foo.com domain sent a subscribe request to a mailing list I
run at my site. The request that came in had an incorrect From address
("Microsoft_Exchange_Connector_for_Lotus_cc:Mail"foo.com).

Anyway, my majordomo's confirmation message is being sent to this above
address and that address is continuously bouncing back to me (with a From
line of postmasterfoo.com).

How do I reject all mails from this domain temporarily?

I tried the following:

1. Edit /etc/postfix/main.cf and added a line

header_checks = pcre:/etc/postfix/reject

2. Have the following in /etc/postfix/reject

/postmasterfoo.com/ REJECT

3. Restarted postfix.

This does not work. What is the format of the header_checks file? Also, I
don't know if pcre is compiled into my installation (I installed the
pre-packaged binary for my distribution). How do I find out?

Thanks.

S.
