According to RFC 821, which defines SMTP, the envelope sender
address specifies where delivery errors should be reported.

If software produces an invalid envelope address, fix that software.
If that is not possible, configure a Postfix canonical rewriting
rule to transform an invalid envelope address into a valid one.

Sending diagnostics to the From: or Reply-To: address is like asking
the Postal service to open your letters when they can't be delivered.
