Subject: New Postfix installation logs "unknown" for all connections
From: cbraxtoniname.com

I've just set up my first Postfix server running on Linux and it basically
seems to be working OK, but I've noticed in the log file that all connections
and disconnections are listed as "unknown[ip-address]." I expect this for
internal clients since they are not registed in DNS, but all outside
connections also come through listed as "unknown."

I can successfully use nslookup to look up the addresses, so I don't think
it's a DNS problem. What setting(s) do I need to turn on to get the names of
connecting hosts in the log file? Am I missing some entry in main.cf? I've
been looking at the FAQ and docs, and searched around Deja News and
other search engines, but haven't found the answer yet. It's just an
annoyance, but I'd like to fix it if possible. Thanks for any help on this...
