Hmmm. In this particular case I can confirm (having trawled through the
logs) that repeat messages did in fact occur - and also confirmed this
by examination of a sample mailbox.
Perhaps the "signal 11" occurs before the queue is rewritten and thus
doesn't prevent duplicates?
