This means that neither the Postfix master process nor the Postfix
queue manager process listen on the FIFO at:
/var/spool/postfix/public/qmgr
When Postfix runs, one of the two processes should listen on that
FIFO. If FIFOs stop working, then you can forget about using Postfix.
I have never observed this problem despite extensive tests and
long-term usage on Solaris, BSD/OS or FreeBSD.
I suspect a bug in your Linux kernel or library routines.
