The map type is not needed with the postmap command.
man postmap(1):
...
When no file_type is specified, the software uses the
database type specified via the database_type confi-
guration parameter.

check_sender_access is not a configuration variable. It can only
appear as part of the smtp_*_restrictions. Read the relevant parts
of main.cf.
