Examine access(5) again. There is no leading dot magic.

Don't whine. Postfix/Sendmail compatibility is for the users.

And that is how I reject mail. The same entry with
yeah.net 500 bugger off
can be used for client domain names, HELO commands, senders and
even recipients. In fact I use the same access map for all.
