What exactly do you expect us to say? Your claim is simply not
true, Postfix doesn't do that, and never did. You still have a DNS
problem, and you won't be able to send mail until you fix it, no
matter what MTA you'll install.
In order to understand what's going on, disable all services you
don't actually use (f.i. I strongly suspect you don't need NIS, so
remove all references to NIS from your /etc/nsswitch.conf), go to DJB's
site (http://cr.yp.to/), read about daemontools and djbdns, and install
them. Write an input file for tinydns (as you'll find out that's much
easier than the equivalent operation for Bind), and bind tinydns on the
external interface and dnscache on the internal interface of your gaibu.
Make the IP of the _internal_ interface of gaibu the only name server
in /etc/resolv.conf on all your machines, _including_ gaibu. Make sure
you can resolve hostnames outside your domain, you can ping hosts etc.
(check dnscache's logs if you can't --- you can configure it to log
what it does in excruciating detail). Login to a machine outside your
domain, and make sure you can resolve hostnames from your domain. Run
dlint against your domain, and try to understand and fix its complaints.
Run Ethereal (or tcpdump + Wietse's tcpdumpx if you're more comfortable
with console-based programs) for a while, and check the traffic when
you do things like FTP, ping, traceroute etc. outside your domain; get
a large cup of coffee first if you're doing this for the first time.
_After_ you get all this working ok, come back to Postfix.

Liviu Daia
