Hello,
I was able to definitely select the $HOME/.forward files as the source for
my delivery problem:
I moved away all $HOME/.forward's which are processed by postfix just before
the "Too many open files" message appeared.
Since then, mail to the list is delivered correctly - so far so good.
But I have to investigate *why* these .forwards cause the problems with the
postfix/local process.
1. I already made a debug output from the postfix/local getting into the
problem (mail from Wednesday). There are *many* loops (~1000!) showing local
output but *I* can't see a problem there!?
2. The .forward's I removed (due to the 'too many open...'-message) are of
the same kind/syntax as the .forward's which aren't removed (and therefore
this can't be the problem!?)
What should I do next?
TIA,
Walter
