        Nope. The moment you involve a mailbox in /var/spool/mail, you
have involved a local delivery agent, and depending on your
particular configuration, that could have absolutely nothing to do
with postfix.

        To know for sure what is going on, we'd need confirmation that
/usr/sbin/sendmail really is a link to postfix (you need to show us
the date/time stamps on both files and the sizes), and we'd need to
see your complete master.cf and main.cf (without comments, of course).
