Nothing. This is why I was looking for a generic way to tell
Postfix to deliver mail for foo.com to IP x.x.x.x. That way
Postfix stays MTA and doesn't have to know anything about POP3.
POP3 would have been used to trigger sending this command to
Postfix but would have been implemented completely external.
Anyway, I think all arguments are exchanged. The race condition
you outlined is a fact and can't be ignored. So for me the case
is closed. It's not robust and therefor not any more thoughts
worth :-]
