  Two of my mail servers crashed last night.

  one said,

   postfix/cleanup[67492]: fatal: timed_ipc_read: command read timeout
   (repeat...)

  and another..

   postfix/bounce[7571]: fatal: lock file defer 6BB7A517FD:
                                Resource temporarily unavailable
   (repeat...)

  Both servers are configured as 'defer_transports = smtp'

  OS: FreeBSD 4.1-RELEASE w/ 512MB RAM
  About 60~100 incoming messages per minutes
