I have an odd issue. One mail system (running Imail) cannot mail my network
most times...once in a while it gets thru. <?>
We thought Ident - and mapped port 113 to get 'connection refused' - so if
Imail was waiting...at least this way - it gets on with its life.
Didnt help.
Any other thing that MIGHT point us as to what is causing the trouble?
The sender receives a message saying: "The system gave up after 20
unsuccessful tries to send your mail"
I dont know what the trouble could be, but suspect my firewall could be
blocking some sort of port that the sending system is seeking <?>
The logs will show an incoming connection from that system and then postfix
times the connection out and hangs up.
The far end user has no trouble sending email to anyone else.
*ANY* thoughts or hints would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx!
PS: This particular system is the only one we are aware of that is not able
to email us.....
