I don't know if this is a FAQ, but here goes.
I would like to run Postfix on Solaris 8 boxes on a standard UFS filesystem
mounted with logging and noatime options (yes, I know it isn't as good as
Veritas, VxFS, but good enough).
I couldn't see a reference to atime anywhere in the Postfix source, so I am
assuming this is OK, and it has been referred to by some previous posters.
I would guess this should save some unnecessary writes on spool directories
by not having to write to disc when the queues are scanned by qmgr.
Is anybody on this list aware of counter-indications to this?
Thanks,
