        You could do that, although it would make the machine
configuration more complex. Trust me, you want to keep these
machines as simple as possible to administer -- at some point in time
you won't be there to fix things, and if you've got a tangled rat's
nest of configurations, then you're really going to regret it when
everything goes Tango Uniform and you're not there.

        Keeping the machine configuration simple also helps make it easy
to administer large numbers of machines as virtual clusters that can
effectively be treated as one larger machine (with the appropriate
tools).
