Hi all SMTP & Postfix,
excuse me for my newbie question but I must set up my postfix server ,
I've no time to make a lot of researches & I've got several problems:
This is the result of a postconf -n command
> postconf -n
alias_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/aliases
command_directory = /usr/sbin
daemon_directory = /usr/lib/postfix
debug_peer_level = 2
default_destination_concurrency_limit = 10
default_privs = nobody
local_destination_concurrency_limit = 2
mail_owner = postfix
mail_spool_directory = /var/spool/mail
mailbox_command = /usr/bin/procmail -a $DOMAIN -d $LOGNAME
mydomain = wwr-planet.net
myhostname = Tech-Gauvin.wwr-planet.net
myorigin = $mydomain
queue_directory = /var/spool/postfix
smtpd_banner = $myhostname ESMTP $mail_name ($mail_version)
(Linux-Mandrake)
so in fact I've not changed a lot of things, but my server reject all
incoming messages with arguments like this :(extracted from my
/var/log/syslog file )
connect from Tech-Gauvin.wwr-planet.net[193.252.63.5]
Dec 12 14:04:24 Tech-Gauvin postfix/smtp[20276]: warning: host
smtp.wwr-planet.net[193.252.63.5] greeted me with my own hostname
Tech-Gauvin.wwr-planet.net
Dec 12 14:04:24 Tech-Gauvin postfix/smtp[20276]: warning: host
smtp.wwr-planet.net[193.252.63.5] replied to HELO/EHLO with my own
hostname Tech-Gauvin.wwr-planet.net
Dec 12 14:04:24 Tech-Gauvin postfix/smtp[20276]: 749AD12A1A:
to=<root
wwr-planet.net>, relay=smtp.wwr-planet.net[193.252.63.5],
delay=0, status=bounced (mail for wwr-planet.net loops back to myself)
Dec 12 14:04:24 Tech-Gauvin postfix/smtpd[20277]: lost connection after
EHLO from Tech-Gauvin.wwr-planet.net[193.252.63.5]
Dec 12 14:04:24 Tech-Gauvin postfix/smtpd[20277]: disconnect from
Tech-Gauvin.wwr-planet.net[193.252.63.5]
I'm running a linux server using a binary (rpm) but i don't think that's
a problem with the postfix program....
I don't understand what means 'the loops back to myself' ...
In fact I have sevral troubles when something works, something else
failed...
I got a quite good config but people were unable to reply to me....
Thanks for all your advices
Cheers
Jerome
