Subject: Help/Config Questions (Virtual Domains/LMTP)

Hey, I'm in the process of migrating some of our existing servers over
to postfix and I'm trying to figure out some stuff. I'm hoping that
someone can help.

First, I want to setup a group of "admin aliases" (eg root, hostmaster,
postmaster, etc...), and have any mail whether local or virtual be
delivered to the local recipients of those aliases.

I'm pretty sure that at the top of my virtual domains I would just do
something like the following:

    root someuserlocalhost
    postmaster rootlocalhost

Now, I can get this to work with sendmail-style virtual domains, but not
postfix-style virtual domains. Is this even possible with postfix-style
virtual domains? Also, what benefit do postfix-style virtual domains
provide (other than the need for an "virtual.domain user" entry in
virtualdomains)?

Second, there will be a bunch of machines that will be nullclients to
the main hub. Can I set up the nullmachines to relay to the mail hub
via LMTP instead of SMTP. I believe that LMTP would be quicker for an
operation like this since it keeps the connection open for a stream. Is
this accurate?

Thanks...
