is there a way to override the use of password entries for user mail delivery?
I'd like to have mail delivered in a uniform palce outside a user's home
directory such as
/var/mail/$USER/Maildir or even just /var/mail/$USER/
as some users with shells get an actual home directory while other won't.
I am NOT looking for a database driven delivery scheme- just a way to modify
the delivery path in the filesystem.
