    I am using SuSE 6.4 and their stock postfix.rpm. The log
    file happens to be /var/log/mail. I did not come across
    any default/non-default postfix parameter that could be
    setting it. Whereas in RH and Trustix (RH derivative) it
    is indeed /var/log/maillog.

    Is the log filename a compile time option?
