How many messages does each user get in a day? What is the
average message size? How many mail messages per day do you expect
to need to be able to send?
Keep in mind that many mail systems place a limit of no more than
1MB per message, and many sites have policies of allowing user
mailboxes to be no larger than 5MB, 10MB, or maybe 15MB.

From the sound of it, I think the machine you're specifying may
well be under-powered. But I think we need more details before we
can be sure.
