    I suspect you are both almost, but not quite, understanding what the
    other is saying.

    What is _suspect_ is happening is that the host has MX records, but no
    valid corresponding A records: in this case, I think sendmail queues,
    whereas postfix bounces.

    Personally, I like sendmail's behaviour better - my sendmail queues
    used to be clagged with mail to dopey sites broken in this way (and it
    didn't require many). But maybe it needs to be switchable.
