    hello!
    this is off topic, but i cant find a better place to ask this question. there are so many smart and knowledgeable people in this list. :) please don't flame me for doing this.

    i have a problem receiving a mail in exchange.

    the error message i've got in exchange(outlook) looks like this:
    "This message uses a character set that is not supported by the Internet Service. To view the original message content, open the attached message. If the text doesn't display correctly, save the attachment to disk, and then open it using a viewer that can display the original character set."

    in the attached textfile, there's all the header info.

    <-snip->
    Content-Type: Text/plain; charset=US_ASCII
    <<< MIME ATTACHMENT STRIPPED >>>

    isn't it here that the problem comes from? shouldn't it say "charset=US-ASCII" ?

    checked the logs in postfix, the mail is recieved fine without any problems. postfix is relaying all mails to the exchange server.

    thanks,
    tobias
