Excuse me if this has been hashed over, I haven't been as religious as
I should in following the group.
I have migrated a couple of local hub machines from sendmail to postfix
and am seeing a couple of minor (so far) but annoying problems. I am
using a site standard alias file, used mostly by sendmail systems. The
problem occurs with a situation like this:
/etc/postfix/aliases:
...
alias1 : alias2
...
...
alias2 : user
system
Now mail sent to alias1 is resolved to alias2, but the sender get a
bounce indicating that user "alias2" does not exist. Sendmail will
recursively expand an alias till it won't expand no more. Is there a
way to force this behavior in postfix?
