    The "logical file system" part. I apologize, but I'm not a system admin, just a lowly programmer. In fact, my company's system admin is currently running sendmail and thinks postfix can't match its speed. I think he's wrong, of course, so he gave me a machine to try and beat his. If it does, he says he'll do the work to learn and deploy Postfix on our production servers.

    But judging from your answer, I infer that a logical filesystem is one disk, absent a RAID or LVM.
