The example below shows that Postfix tries to connect to all the
mail hosts for domain bellsouth.net. It will go through the list
for every message that needs to be delivered to bellsouth.net.

You have given no evidence that a queue file is in the active queue
for as long as two hours. Perhaps your observation is inaccurate.

To investigate, grep the maillog file for a specific queue ID.
This shows when the queue manager opens the file, and when a delivery
agent tries to deliver it.
