When in doubt, reinstall (try building postfix again and compare the
md5 checksums of the binary in the source tree and the installed
binary).
If you didn't install from source, you can verify the integrity of the
binary using some bizarre rpm invocation (I don't use rpm, since I'm
on Debian here).
Maybe you changed from world-writable maildrop directory to a
group-writable one? (postdrop is set-gid then)
