We have an external postfix server the delivers some mail to users
directly while the remaining mail is processed on to other (internal)
servers. A few of our users (that get mail from the external server)
have setup .forward files so that their email is forward on to other
    (internal) accounts.

Happens that one of these internal servers went down for about 12
hours. Now I have mail stuck in the external server mailboxes that
should have been forwarded on (but couldn't 'cause that internal server
    was broke).

I know this is (probably) off topic, but how do I get things moving?
New email is being sent on through, but not the 17 messages that got
    halted.

We're using postfix w/standard unix mailboxes on all machines
    Thanks.
