Hi list
My postfix installation is working fine except for one or two problems like
1 . Postfix smtp never responds to my users in local network, but it
resposnds properly for the users connected through internet. (External
network )
* Note I have enable to interface : to All
2. I have been getting mail from some unknown sources who is sending mail to
me and my users by claiming to be sent from my DOMAIN itself. For example
you have a domain called googs.com Now some one is sending a mail to you
using some username
googs.com. Where as that user name does not exist in
your mail server. how do you prevent this kind of spamming.
* Note I have tried testing my mail server for relaying control using a
telnet to mail-abuse.org .The result was good as the server was showing
relaying denied messages for 19 cycles which proves my mail server is not
relaying.
3. Amavis configuration. This is the most confusing configuration that can
be ever done to postfix. Is there any good how Tos to enable amavis for
postfix ( Single instance).
* Note i tried my hand in double smtp server but to get lots of bounced
messages complaint.
These were to 3 major problems encountered by me. Is there any one with lots
of patience who can guide me through.
