i found this discussion in the archives:
http://archives.neohapsis.com/archives/postfix/2000-08/0993.html
has anyone found a better solution to this than the one proposed in the
archives? the original question:
> I am considering moving to postfix from sendmail.

domain.com user1

domain.com user2

domain.com error:nouser

domain.com domainadmin

i have a similar problem since we already offer the option for our users
to create a fake 'user unknown' error for individual users in both
/etc/aliases and /etc/virtusertable. when rewriting our scripts that
create the alias and virtuser files i'm trying to figure out how to
simulate this. i guess pointing to a non-existing user would do sort of
the same thing but this isn't really ideal.
also can i do this sort of thing in postfix? afaik there's no way to
pipe to a script directly from virtual or whatever, right?.
virtusertable:
roy
blah.com roy--blah.com
aliases:
roy--blah.com: "|/dh/bin/autorespond.pl roy
blah.com", me
aol.com"
