use sasl SMTP auth or pop before SMTP.
if they all have static ips or ip ranges, you could just add an access
database for those networks, but it is better to use one of the other
solutions i mentioned. a quick web search or a look through the faq
will find a good deal of information on all of these subjects.
note that getting SASL to work is a bit tricky sometimes, but it's not
really _that_ bad :>
i've never messed with pop before smtp before.
