After dozens of IMGate/postfix successful installs on FreeBSD and Linx, Iīm
doing my first on Mandrake, and I gotta mail loop:
Sep 5 08:59:23 mx1 postfix/smtp[11815]: 5C291154:
to=<postmaster
MX1.VEI.net>, relay=mx1.vei.net[64.89.101.37], delay=4,
status=bounced (mail for mx1.vei.net loops back to myself)
but postmaster is aliased to root and root is aliased to a mailbox on
another machine.
postalias -q postmaster /etc/aliases
gives root
postalias -q root /etc/aliases
gives admin
otherhost
main.cf:
alias_database = hash:/etc/aliases, hash:/etc/postfix/aliases
alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases, hash:/etc/postfix/aliases
So I stuck a -v on smtp in master.cf, it certainly locates the files in
main.cf, but I canīt see why postfix canīt resolve the alias
postmaster
MX1.VEI.net to the canonical admin
otherhost.
