the other thing (and neither way so far is really satisfactory) is that
i would really like the bounces to look as if they're coming from the
virtual user. is there a way to have postfix not expand the alias when
it bounces?
obviously:
william--foo.com
host.mydomain.com
looks kind of dumb, and (more importantly) many people who want to setup
a fake 'bounce' message on a particular virtual address do so because
they want to be removed from spam lists; if the bounce doesn't appear to
come from the address the message was sent to, it isn't an effective
way to do this.
