Hello,
My mail server is handling 2 different mail domain, let's call them
sciences.domain.com and bio.domain.com i am using ldap and i would like
to configure postfix to look up users and aliases in different ldap
bases depending on the domain.
For example, here is my ldap tree:
dc=domain, dc=com
#accounts branch
ou=account,dc=domain,dc=com
# sciences dept
ou=sciences,ou=accounts,dc=domain,dc=com
<here go al lthe accounts for the sciences dept>
#bio dept
ou=bio,ou=accounts,dc=domain,dc=com
<here go all the accounts fro the bio dept>
#mail branch
ou=mail,dc=domain,dc=com
# sciences branch of mail
ou=sciences,ou=mail,dc=domain,dc=com
dn: cn=dummy,ou=sciences,ou=mail,dc=domain,dc=com
objectClass: nisMailAlias
objectClass: top
rfc822MailMember: dummy
cn: dummy.tester
# bio branch of mail
ou=bio,ou=mail,dc=domain,dc=com
dn: cn=foo,ou=bio,ou=mail,dc=domain,dc=com
objectClass: nisMailAlias
objectClass: top
rfc822MailMember: foo
cn: foo.bar
now, what i want is to tell postfix that when a mail arrives for someone
sciences.domain.com to look in the ldap base ou=sciences,ou=mail,dc=domain,dc=com and if the rfc822MailMember is foo, then to look up foo in the base ou=sciences,ou=accounts,dc=domain,dc=com.
I am going to manage thousands on accounts and aliases on a few dozens of domains so it would be nasty if postfix had to always parse all the ldap ou=mail base.
Thanks!
