Yes, this is true. A customisable message would be enough, but it would be
better to be able to either look like the message is accepted then send
another email back as a seperate message so that you can do in to more
detail. Im not sure of the limitations on the SMTP protocol for sending
back multiple line reasons, and even if you can your plain english message
is still going to be surrounded by technical-speak that will scare people
away from reading the rest of the text.
Thinking about it, I guess you could still regect the message, then fire
off another email back saying "A message from you, to xxxx was recently
regected. This is because....."
For maximum flexibility it would be nice to be able to execute scripts
with certain triggers on happenings in the mail system like a 552.
Of course im no smtp guru, this is just to throw some ideas around.
