I've just received a message from a user that they received the following
error when trying to forward mail from Yahoo to our site (fastmail.fm):
======
The original message was received at Thu, 27 Sep 2001 00:46:07 -0400
from web20005.mail.yahoo.com [216.136.225.68]
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
j+dns
howard.fm
(expanded from: otherusername
fastmail.fm)
----- Transcript of session follows -----
550 j+dns
howard.fm... User unknown
======
What's going on here? Is this a message from Postfix at our site? Where
might this 'expansion' be occurring? I've got no aliases or virtual maps
from <otherusername> at all. j+dns
howard.fm is an email address I used on
our DNS registration, but I don't see how it could have appeared as an email
expansion.
I'm mystified--any ideas much welcomed...
