What would I use to get the original username if "virtual" had:

    domain.com someuserotherdomain.com

and mail was sent to xyzzydomain.com (note: no extension). I think
I got the extension stuff to work partly (I restarted postscript and
now it's working, but I also was changing stuff, so I have no idea
what actually fixed it). But with no extension character, I wonder
if this is even treated as an extension.

Let me describe what I am doing, in case I'm taking the wrong approach
and there is a better way to do this:

A user owns a domain. That domain is not local to the machine.
That is, mail addressed to anynamedomain.com is no associated
with anyname on the local machine. The entire user namespace
of the domain is to be under control of the user who owns it.
I want to give the user the ability not just get all that mail
in his mailbox, but also be able to direct specific user names
in his domain user namespace to different places like .forward
    allows.

I was trying the extension approach and it did not work. I also
tried the usual extension approach and that was failing, too.
I completely removed the domain and started over, and now the
way with a username in the LHS of virtual, when used with an
extension works (why it broke, I have no idea). But I want to
get some way for the "extension" of an empty username to work.
    Any ideas?
