In smtpd_recipient_restrictions, you can specify
reject_unauth_pipelining to cause postfix to close the connection if
the remote client pipelines commands without first saying EHLO and
getting a response. That is, if you send my mail server two commands
in a row, you're toast. At least that's my understanding and
interpretation.
I suspect the leading garbage from the HTTP proxy causes this.
I trap maybe one of these every other week. Perhaps that will go up
now.
