Hi,
I used Robin Whittle's write-up to set up my Postfix w/ Courier IMAP setup
on a RH 7.1 box, too, and it works fine. I'm also using Maildir format.
If you can't telnet to ports 110, 143, or 993, that means that your IMAP and
POP servers aren't running. Check the Courier config files:
/usr/lib/courier-imap/etc/imapd:
IMAPDSTART=YES
/usr/lib/courier-imap/etc/imapd-ssl:
IMAPDSSLSTART=YES
/usr/lib/courier-imap/etc/pop3d:
POP3DSTART=YES
Modify these files, and then do a "service courier-imap restart"
All this is independent of Apache running (which would be listening to port
80).
Cheers,
--Dave
