I didn't install the rpm & didn't think that a basic
Mandrake install (I'm just using it as a i586 platform
to run a black box email server) would include sasl.
By the way, I'm using Mandrake based on the
supposition that a platform where everything is
compiled for i586 rather than i386 (ala RedHat) would
be quicker. I'm using i686 processors.
Have compiled OpenSSL, SASL, Cyrus, & Postfix on this
machine to control the build options & also hope that
a package compiled for/on this box will run faster
than a pre-compiled rpm.
Is this logic correct?
Would compiling BerkleyDB/MySQL/Postgres help me in
this regard also? (Currently all Mandrake i586 rpms)
