    I would guess that there is a firewall blocking outgoing connections
    to port 25. To test, try:

    telnet mx.texas.net 25

    You should get something like this:

    Trying 207.207.0.213...
    Connected to mx.texas.net.
    Escape character is '^]'.
    220 mw5.texas.net ESMTP Texas.Net Mailer 8.11.6; Thu, 20 Dec 2001 11:22:13 -0600 (CST)

    At this point, just type QUIT. If you get connection refused or
    anything else, something in your network needs to be re-configured.
