when postfix receives a mail via SMTP, it writes the orginal SMTP envelope
recipient into the "Received:" header line, so you can tell if the final
recipient has been expanded from an alias.
this does not happen in mails between local users,
the original recipient information (= the alias) disappears, and if it is
not in the To: header the recipient cannot tell that the mail came via an
alias.
is there a way to write an additional header line where that info is kept
- similar to an "X-Envelope to:" entry? my attempts to catch the info via
the RECIPIENT variable have so far failed, i always get the final
recipient there.
greetings
and a merry Xmas and a happy new year to everyone
