Yeah, they announce NIS+ is EOL in the release notes for Solaris 9.
I heard rumors that it was coming, but still it was a surprise to
see it on docs.sun.com.

I'm not too terribly surprised to see this since we've been using
iPlanet DS for a while without probs, and that's what's bundled with
9. Only difference is that I've been using gcc-3.0.3 and the LDAP
SDK downloaded from iPlanet.
