    when i do mysql_query("select * from mail_hosting.relay_ip where policy =
    'OK'"); in php it gives me all the ips without any problems

    here is the pop-before-smtp.cf file :

    user = *******
    password = **********

    dbname = mail_hosting

    table = relay_ip

    select_field = policy
    where_field = ip

    hosts = localhost
