Thanks for your reply.
I have looked at these two directories and the directories have the
following files:
in /usr/local/lib/sasl -
libcrammd5.la
libcrammd5.so
libcrammd5.so.1
libcrammd5.so.1.0.17
libdigestmd5.la
libdigestmd5.so
libdigestmd5.so.0
libdigestmd5.so.0.0.19
liblogin.la
liblogin.so
liblogin.so.0
liblogin.so.0.0.6
libplain.la
libplain.so
libplain.so.1
libplain.so.1.0.15
smtpd.conf
and in /usr/lib/sasl -
libanonymous.a
libanonymous.la
libanonymous.so
libanonymous.so.1
libanonymous.so.1.0.15
libcrammd5.a
libcrammd5.la
libcrammd5.so
libcrammd5.so.1
libcrammd5.so.1.0.15
libdigestmd5.a
libdigestmd5.la
libdigestmd5.so
libdigestmd5.so.0
libdigestmd5.so.0.0.17
libgssapiv2.a
libgssapiv2.la
liblogin.a
liblogin.la
liblogin.so
liblogin.so.0
liblogin.so.0.0.5
libplain.a
libplain.la
libplain.so
libplain.so.1
libplain.so.1.0.14
Sendmail.conf
smtpd.conf
Both smtpd.confs contain the line:
pwcheck_method: sasldb
it seems the directories have the cram-md5 files, although i notice there
are two versions "libcrammd5.so.1.0.15" and "libcrammd5.so.1.0.17".
any further help appreciated.
