Changing max smtp processes on master.cf only won't help.
There are still $initial_destination_concurrency and
$smtp_destination_concurrency_limit (which the default =
$default_destination_concurrency_limit).
But, if I were you, I'll start with the slowest possible
number. Starting it from 2000 will slow down the deliveries
absolutely :-)
