Ok. Here it is linux kernel 2.4.18-pre7, ext3fs 2.4-0.9.17.
    (after I change maildir.c).

    % smtp-source -s 20 -m 1000 -f adi -t adi localhost

As soon as smtp-source finished, I press reset button.
As soon as postfix start delivering messages again (after boot-up),
I press reset botton again. I keep doing the second above ten
times, until I get bored :-)

    adi:~> find Maildir -type f | wc -l
       1026

    adi:~> find Maildir/tmp -type f | wc -l
         18

    adi:~> find Maildir/new -type f | wc -l
       1006

    root:~> lsattr /data/postfix
    --S---A------ /data/postfix/maildrop
    ------A------ /data/postfix/pid
    --S---A------ /data/postfix/incoming
    --S---A------ /data/postfix/active
    --S---A------ /data/postfix/bounce
    --S---A------ /data/postfix/defer
    --S---A------ /data/postfix/deferred
    --S---A------ /data/postfix/flush
    --S---A------ /data/postfix/saved
    --S---A------ /data/postfix/corrupt
    ------A------ /data/postfix/public
    ------A------ /data/postfix/private
    ------A------ /data/postfix/var
    ------A------ /data/postfix/etc
    ------A------ /data/postfix/lib
    ------A------ /data/postfix/usr
    ------A------ /data/postfix/dev

So, I could hope that surplus messages on my maildir didn't caused
by asynchronous directory operation on postfix queue (unlink(2)).

While as I said before, I keep 'loosing' mail without that change.
(with the same environment except that change)

This *are* a question. So, any better explanation?

    Thanks

    Regards,

    P.Y. Adi Prasaja
