Is that an error from Postfix's size limit, or perhaps the OSes? Is there a
limit set on the mail directory as to how much it will hold? I would check
that.

There was someone else that had issues a while back with very large numbers
in the size limits. I asked them to try different sizes, but never heard
back from them.
