Greetings Postfix users,
I'm noticing a strange problem with dns_lookup.
554 Client host rejected: cannot find your hostname, [194.38.160.236]
Performing dig lookups at each of the name servers listed, shows
the correct PTR record.
dig
narn.deckpoint.ch 236.160.38.194.in-addr.arpa PTR
;; ANSWER SECTION:
236.160.38.194.in-addr.arpa. 86400 IN PTR fulgan.deckpoint.net.
The ip address in question had no PTR record until *friday last week*.
Does Postfix have a negative cache for DNS lookups?
Anyone have ideas how to further diagnose the problem ?
Regards,
Robert Dalton
