Postfix 20010228-pl04, Solaris 8 on Sun Sparc boxes.
We have the following situation: A dedicated, separated network for the
audio department with lots of NT boxes. Some of those boxes need to be
able to send mail to only certain addresses and only in our regular domain
on our regular network.
We have one Unix box on their separate network, and that is the only box
allowed to connect out of the network on port 25. We can configure this
to allow only certain clients with smtpd_client_restrictions and
smtpd_recipient_restrictions, and relaying only to our main mail server.
However, we additionally want this relay box to remove all attachments
from mail sent through it to our main network mail server.
I assume I have to write my own little filtering program (or find some
freeware on the net). Once I have this filter, where would be the best
(or only?) place to insert it into the Postfix scheme of things. It's not
a local delivery agent, because the machine is a relay, right? We do have
procmail installed, if that'd help, but that would require delivering the
mail locally and then having it forward, which could be done, but maybe it
isn't the best way to do it?
Thanks,
-Adam
